I'm passionate about photography
The world around us fascinates me; from the people in it, the wonders of nature and wildlife, to mankind's drive to be creative. My specialty is capturing people pursuing their passions, such as playing music or sport, or enjoying time with friends. I prefer to photograph using natural light whenever possible, even at night, and often take advantage of the excellent performance of the Canon 20D. As you can see from my portfolio, my passions are live music performances, people, wildlife, and travel. Based in Cambridge, England, I love to photograph the changing scenes of this beautiful city and its colleges. I always look for interesting scenes when I travel, and have recently photographed in Costa Rica, Italy, South Africa, Israel, and Canada. I first discovered the art of photography with my father's SLR in 1993, and have been shooting digitally since 2004, using the superb Canon Digital EOS System. The photographers who have inspired my photography include Ansel Adams, Frans Lanting, and Yann Arthus-Bertrand. Shooting with a relaxed style, every photograph that I print or display is hand-processed, to achieve the highest quality that I always aim for. Through CantabPhotos, a photography website that I set up in 2005 for Cambridge Students, I have been very fortunate to have photographed and met many popular musicians, including KT Tunstall, Lily Allen, Jem, The Feeling, and Nerina Pallot.
